Professional secretariat for Corporate Health Services
The Secretariat of Occupational Health Services was established by the Ministry of Labour and Social Inclusion as an instrument to get these services to function as well as possible, and as a secretariat for professional guidance and for coordinating information directed at these health services from the authorities. The Secretariat is attached to the Institute of Occupational Health.
We gladly answer questions and examine problems relating to the work environment.
If we are unable to give an answer we make use of our extensive contact with other research institutions – and with the Corporate Health Services.
We have established and operate an e-mail list where you can enrol – and pose questions of a professional nature about working conditions.
Good OHS
Good OHS is a tool for evaluation of occupational health services (OHS). It was established in order to help increase the quality and delivery of the services offered by the OHS.
The idea for the Goood OHS tool originated in Finland, where a similar project started evolving in 1994. The Finnish project culminated in the manual Good Practice, in addition to a measure of OHS quality, which consists of a matrix that each OHS could compare itself to.
This is the matrix we have used as a basis for a tool adapted towards Norwegian conditions.
The result is the Good OHS Workbook 2000.
We have also published a NIOH rapport (HD-Rapport) that describes the entire GOOD OHS project.
In 2007 the Workbook was updated and adjusted based on experiences and rules that had changed and is now found in its entirety in a PDF document that can be downloaded here:
The working document has also been translated into English, and can be found here:

The OHS Secretary encourages everyone to use the workbook!
We welcome feedback regarding your user experience using and viewpoints.
