Labratory services

We offer our services to occupational health services, work safety representatives, consultancy firms and others who may need the analyses we conduct. The institute also functions as a laboratory for the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority.

An extensive range of analyses offered
In addition to a range of research tasks performed by the NIOH, the institute also performs chemical analyses in conjunction with evaluations of the work environment. The institute offers this service for occupational health services, work safety representatives, consultancy firms and others who may need such analyses. The institute also functions as a laboratory for the Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority.

We are service oriented
We are happy to offer help and assistance to ensure that your work-environment investigations are done correctly. We offer advice and counseling to ensure that the investigation is optimized. Contacting us before the field studies commence will in many instances enhance the process.

The institute will prioritize laboratory analyses where NIOH is particularly well suited to run them, or where the analyses cannot be run anywhere else. Our processing and delivery time will depend upon the specific analyses requested and the availability of testing materials.

All data results will be published in the institute’s exposure database EXPO, following the guildines of the Norwegian Data Inspectorate. Therefore we require verbal consent from anyone who carries testing material on their person. The Norwegian Labor Inspection Authority will be granted access to EXPO upon request.
